Optional website analytics

With your permission, this website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits, browser/device information, which social network a visit came from, and clicks to app stores and to the browser trial puzzles. Analytics cookies distinguish visits. The Google tag is not loaded before permission or when you decline. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Change or withdraw it using “Analytics preferences” in the footer.

Google receives analytics information. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals, or send form contents, email addresses, or arbitrary URL query values. These measurements are used to improve the website and evaluate promotional links.

Links from social networks

Links we post on Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok and other social networks carry a label naming the network and the campaign. The label is kept while you move between pages of this website. Only a fixed list of network names and a short campaign name are used; other values in the link are ignored. Only Instagram profile links also pass the label to App Store links. Apple reports aggregated campaign results in App Store Connect; these are separate from website analytics. We cannot identify an individual person who downloaded an app or match every click to a download.

Hosting providers may process connection information to deliver and protect this website, separately from optional Google Analytics. Our host’s Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views, referring sites and countries in aggregate, without cookies and without identifying visitors.
